Easter

I am aware that this is very late, but I figure better late than never. We have had a crazy couple of weeks - we just moved into our new house. We love it so far, but we are still trying to get our home organized. These pictures were taken for Easter, but I just haven't had time to get them posted. I found this adorable hat and was so excited to try it on Harrison. He was not the most cooperative, but he did end up having fun with it. My happy girl. Justin Jr. Landry had a blast hunting eggs. She was actually more into it than Harrison. Everyone was proud of their loot.

Heath and Max

These boys were so adorable! Max was a ham from the get go, but I thought Heath might be a little shy. Luckily he warmed up right away, and I think he actually had fun getting his picture taken. I love it when that happens.

Paxton and Harper

One thing I love about photographing children is how quickly they change. The big sister in these pictures is Harper. It seems like only yesterday that I was doing her first session at about 3 months old. Now she is a little lady who loves her baby sister. Precious! Paxton and Harper at approximately the same age:

Hutchens Family

I was so excited to be able to photograph this family while I was in Kansas. They actually live in Austin, TX and were visiting at the same time as me. Unfortunately for them, the weather in Kansas was nothing like Texas. It was cold. Really cold. The kids were troopers (and the parents too). Thank you guys so much for toughing it out in the awful weather. I hope you think the result was worth it. :)

Marilea + Wes

I always have a crazy schedule when we are back in Kansas - trying to fit in everything and see everyone. Marilea and Wes were nice enough to drive from Kansas City to Topeka for their photo session and I am so glad that they did. They are such a cute couple and were so sweet to each other. I had so much fun with them!

Grey

It was a last minute decision, but I am so glad I got to meet this little guy on our trip back to Kansas. He was so sweet and I must say a very big boy. What a cutie!

Kiptin and Kyler

I had so much fun with these boys and their mom. Now that we are in Pennsylvania I don't get to see them as often as I would like, but whenever we get together we always pick up right where we left off. The weather was not ideal, but we found a place where we were protected from the chilly Kansas wind. These boys love to be outside, so a little cold weather was not going to bother them at all.

Lindsey + Ramy

Let me start off by saying that I do not normally photograph weddings, but there is always an exception. Not only was this not your typical wedding, but these happen to be two of my favorite people so they get special treatment. :) Lindsey is a very special person to me for many reasons, one of those being that she encouraged me to start my own photography business and has been my biggest cheerleader (and helper) from day one. I am so grateful that God brought Ramy into her life (along with Zach and Trinity), and it has been so neat for me to see how their family has come together. We had originally planned on outdoor photographs, but lovely Kansas weather made that nearly impossible. Luckily, I was able to find a neat old building in the up and coming North Topeka Arts District. A big shout out to the ladies of Two Days for the use of their building and to Renee Johnson of The Eclective for helping me find them. I think the photographs turned out great and had a hard time choosing only a few to post.
